Longines is known for creating some of the most technically innovative and attractive timepieces in the world, and the important Longines wristwatch featured in this offering dramatically exemplifies these qualities. Once worn by Humphrey Bogart, Richard Byrd, and Charles Lindbergh, Longines timepieces are sought after by collectors, Hollywood celebrities, and anyone desiring to wear a true world-class wristwatch.
Showcasing the fine mid 20th century design with its oversized bezel, recessed crown, and dramatic caricatured numerals, this superior timepiece embodies the design sensibilities of George Nelson, Charles Eames, Buckminster Fuller, and other of the founding fathers of American Modernism.
It is in beautiful original condition. Its case is just short of mint with crisp unpolished lines. Its gorgeous dial is original and just short of perfect mint. And its high-grade, Longines movement is very clean.
One of our watchmakers has just freshly disassembled the movement down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
