Today offering showcases this striking Omega watch done in a pilot's style. Originally, a pocket watch, it has been converted into an extra large wristwatch the size of many of today's massive watches.
Converting pocket watches to large wristwatches has continued to become more popular the last few years, and there are many watches such as this showing up on the market. Some are entirely fake and most have custom made cases and dials. This present example is a bona fide Omega pocket watch down with all original parts - down to its original case, dial, hands and crown, which is why we purchased it.
For the conversion the original dial was painted over in a pilot's configuration and the lugs were added. If you are looking for a conversion watch, this one with all original parts is about as close as they come to still being an authentic Omega.
The movement is also surprisingly well-preserved for its age.
For those who love the massive modern size in a classic look, this watch has it.
Our watchmaker has just cleaned and oiled the movement, and it is running very true. It has a brand new leather strap installed. If you would like a different style, we have a large selection.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
