Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored Seamaster from c. 1951. It has a classic Calatrava Seamaster case design with screwed down back and strong black dial.
The desirable "Explorer" style dial with Arabic numerals marking the primary hours has a wonderul vintage style.
Powering the watch is Omega's early caliber 351 "hammer" movement from Omega's very first series of automatic movements.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, just slightly larger than the size of a Rolex Date watch.
It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, winding crown, and even the signed Omega crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
It Calatrava case presents as mint condition. Its dial has been meticulously sympathetically refinished - the printing could nearly pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye and the marker dots have been done in sepia to give it a true vintage look.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is running very accurately.
For the finishing touch a new leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
