Today's offering showcases this classic and beautifully restored c. 1958 Omega Seamaster. It is fully Omega and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
Its elegant dial has 18K gold accents and hands that dress up the watch and give it greater versatility matching with different outfits. It has just been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
Its case presents as mint.
Note that the Waterproof wording on the back is perfectly crisp and clear, despite what the photos seem to suggest. It shows no loss of depth or readability at all.
A Master Watchmaker has fully disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled the movement. We have timed it in five chronometer positions - it is running very true keeping like new chronometer grade time in three of the positions.
1950's and 60's Seamasters are great buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Photos of the inside available upon request.
A five decade old Omega that looks almost like new on the wrist!
The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been well embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
