1960 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Watch - 14K Gold & Factory Omega Diamonds

Omega

Item No. 8677

For the Omega connoisseur, few things are more exciting than finding an example of one of the company's sought after and elusive watches... especially if it is in pleasing original condition.

Our offering today showcases this rare Omega Seamaster in 14K gold with original factory set diamond dial. It is a special creation made for the American market. Though we do not know exact productions, they were made in limited quantities. As beautiful as it is rare, this Seamaster exudes elegance and sophistication.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 550 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. It is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.

We were fortunate to acquire it in fine original condition. All of its parts are Omega, even down to its original Omega crystal.

Its case presents as just short of mint condition with only light signs of previous polishing. Its original Omega factory diamond dial is untouched with only very light aging. It has warmed to a light champagne tone, which gives the watch a pleasing more monochromatic look.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Omega parts including installing a new mainspring, yoke, 1/2 stem and crystal, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

For the finishing touch we have equipped the watch with a new crocodile strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment. Please inquire if you would like a gold-plated original Omega beads of rice bracelet for it.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
