Created in 1967 by Omega's sales director Robert Forster, the Dynamic is a wonderful example of a true retro style. The clean and functional watch, a considerable success for Omega, possessed a number of designed elements that made it stand out:
An ellipse shape with recessed crown determined to be the best geometric shape for the wrist, determined after extensive study
Easy to read and beautifully designed two-tone dial with "time zone" sections
Unicoc case with hermetically sealed crystal water-resistant to a depth of 30m.
Available with a metal bracelet or easily interchangeable water-resistant Cor-fam straps
According to an Omega advertisement at the time, "The shape of the Omega Dynamic was determined by the anatomy of your wrist; its dial by the workings of your eyes; it strap by the physiology of your skin."
We are pleased to offer this first generation Dynamic. The first generation of the watch lasted from 1968 until 1970.
It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, crown, and even signed Omega crystal! It present on the wrist as mint.
The dial is original and mint. And the Omega movement winds smoothly and is running true. It has previously been equipped with a new aftermarket band and buckle of unknown origin.
It has just been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
An almost fifty year old Dynamic that presents beautifully on the wrist!
Please note: An example of this watch resides in the Omega museum, and a published example can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 483.
