Today's offering showcases this classic and beautifully restored c. 1969 Omega Seamaster. Powering the watch is Omega's caliber 752 movement with twenty-four jewels (seven more than in many Seamaster versions from the period) day of the week indication and a quick-setting date.
It measures 35mm in diameter without the crown, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Datejust.
It is fully Omega down to the crown and even the crystal. Its monococque - or one-piece - case, which achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back, presents as mint on the wrist. The back has light aging.
The watch has been meticulously restored and presents on the wrist as mint condition. The dial is a perfect refinishing - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmakers, winds smoothly, and is running very true. For the finishing touch we have equipped the watch with a new aftermarket leather strap making it ready for immediate use.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
Note: Published examples of similar watches can be found in Marco Richon's work Omega: A Journey Through Time, 2007, pg. 403.
An nearly five decade old Seamaster that looks like new on the wrist!
