Today's offering showcases this vintage Seamaster that presents in gorgeous original condition. It has a classic retro design with tonneau shape and striking two-tone dial with "wide boy" markers. Our photos couldn't do it justice!
It has a Omega's monococque - or one-piece - case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.
Powering the watch is its handwound caliber 613 movement.
What is most striking about the watch is its stunning original condition. It is fully Omega down to the dial, hands, and Omega crown.
Its untouched original silver and dark navy blue dial - so dark it nearly appears black - is just short of perfect mint. To the naked eye it appears mint.
Its case presents as just short of perfect mint. It has slight signs of having been polished and very slight wear to the back. On the wrist it presents as mint.
A Master Watchmaker has freshly fully overhauled the movement including installing a new mainspring. It is running strong and very true. Remarkably, it is keeping time nearly on par with a new officially certified chronometer in all five chronometer testing positions.
For the finishing touch a new leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
An original more than five decade old Omega that presents on the wrist almost like new!
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.
Omega is often known by watch lovers for its Seamaster line of recreational water sports watches. Combining a striking look with a high performance movement, they've received a strong following since vintage times.
