1961 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Handwound Watch with Date - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 6120

Today's offering showcases this cool and uncommon vintage Seamaster De Ville mens watch. Unlike most Seamasters from the era which were automatic, this reference was powered by Omega's uncommon caliber 610 handwound movement. The thinner movement allows for a thinner case than with automatic Seamasters.

It measures at approximately 34mm in diameter without the crown, the size of a Rolex Date watch and two millimeters smaller than a Rolex Datejust.

It has a monocoque - or one piece - case which insured water resistance and slim, elegant profile. The case when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.

It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown. It presents in gorgeous condition. The original dial is mint. The case also presents as scratch-free with only light signs of polishing.

Our watchmaker has just freshly cleaned and oiled the fine and uncommon movement which was originally adjusted to two positions. 1960's and early 70's Seamasters are great long-term buys as parts are readily available for their well-made movements, and they're not hard to service.

For the finishing touch a new leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

The Seamaster:
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been were embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
