1963 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens "Tuxedo" Dress Watch with Striking Design - 18K Gold

Omega

Item No. 7227

Today's offering showcases this striking example of one of the company's vintage Geneve watches. Elegant and precise, it features a wonderful guilloche textured "Tuxedo" case whose decoration is carried over on its rare and cool original dial.

Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice!

The co-centerpieces of the watch are its "Tuxedo" dial and case, so named because of their vertical stripes and design. The dial is textured just like the case - it is not just the dial finish - it showcases a ribbed construction.

And further adding to its avant garde design, the case is made from both white and yellow 18K gold. We have never seen this model before, and it is striking.

Unlike most watches for sale in the States from the era which utilized 14K Omega U.S. made contract cases, this is a true 18K Swiss made Omega beauty.

Powering this fine watch is an ultra thin caliber 620 handwound Omega mechanism.

It is fully Omega with all of its original parts down to the hands and winding crown.

Its case is in excellent condition. It is virtually scratch-free with only a couple of tiny pin prick marks and shows only light signs of previous polishing. Its original dial is just short of mint as mentioned above. And its ultra thin Omega is keeping accurate time. Its two hallmarks are crisp.

Its dial is original and untouched. The top lacquer shows fairly light natural toning. The dial is pleasing, but it you would like it perfectly restored please inquire.

Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Omega replacements, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $495 value).

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
