Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage De Ville watches.
Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a timeless case and royal blue dial.
Its 35mm in diameter is full size for the era, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.
It features a monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 552 movement used in Seamasters from the era, part of the superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.7 out of 10.
Its case presents as mint.
Despite what the photos seem to suggest, all of the detail on the back is fully intact.
Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker .We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping accurate time.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
For the finishing touch, a new aftermarket leather strap with aftermarket Omega style logo has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
