Today's offering showcases this very cool vintage Omega mens ref. 135.011 watch. This reference is interesting in that it was sometimes branded as a Seamaster 600, as a Geneve, and double signed as a Seamaster 600 Geneve. Most were sold under the Seamaster 600 moniker - Geneve examples are seen less often, and the rarest are the double signed versions.
This is a Geneve branded example, and it is identical in general construction to the Seamaster 600 signed version except for the dial signature and the lack of the Seamaster engraved or embossed into the case back. (We have included a photo in the listing of a double signed Seamaster 600/Geneve model).
Interestingly the back looks like a Seamaster back with the engraved Seamonster except rather than having Seamaster wording it simply says waterproof.
The 600 series was named because of the movement that powers the watch. Besides being hand-wound, a less common trait for a Seamaster, the Seamaster 600 also features a slightly thinner case than automatic Seamasters.
It measures approx. 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, about a millimeter and a half smaller than a Rolex Datejust.
The watch is 100% original down to the dial, hands, winding crown and even the signed crystal. It is in pleasing original condition. The original and untouched dial is better than near mint. The case is in better than excellent condition with light signs of polishing.
The caliber 601 movement has just been serviced. It is quite pristine and running very true. For the finishing touch we have installed a new high quality crocodile strap.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
