1969 Omega De Ville Vintage Mens Cal. 565 Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9642

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage De Ville watches.

Living up to its name as one of the elegant and sophisticated "De Ville" models, it has a pleasing case and stunning green vignette dial.

Its monococque - or one-piece - Omega case, which when new achieved high water resistance ratings by not having a separate case back measures 34mm in diameter - the same size as a Rolex Date model.

Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. With 24 jewels and a quick-setting date, it was the top-tier offering of the famous 500 series and is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from the era.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as just short of perfect mint. Despite what the photos seem to suggest, the watch does not have any black on it - all of the appearance is from reflections.

Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration the movement has just been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It continues to run exceptionally strong and is keeping very accurate time.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

For the finishing touch a new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style logo has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
