Today's offering showcases this prime example of an uncommon tonneau Constellation. It is fully Omega and presents in gorgeous condition. It presents as about a 9.7 out of 10.
Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance. It has a large tonneau case and clean white dial.
Powering the watch is Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 1001 movement adjusted to run accurately in five positions and across a range of temperatures. Its ultra-thin automatic movement measures only 4.25mm thick and has a thinner rotor to reduce stress on winding parts.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Its case is mint. Its dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done even under magnification.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker - it is running very true, keeping time on par with a new Omega. For the finishing touch we have installed a new band making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A nearly half century old Omega that looks like new!
