Today's offering showcases this beautifully restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches.
The bezel of the Omega case has been previously aftermarket upgraded with sparkling diamonds.
Powering the watch is its original caliber 1030 handwound movement with quick-setting date. It is the handwound version of the the 10xx series of movements that powered many of Omega's watches from the era including Seamasters and Constellations (in its chronometer form).
It is fully Omega down to the original hands and winding crown.
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. The case presents as mint. The original dial has been meticulously custom refinished in Tiffany or turquoise blue - the printing could pass as Omega factory to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker and a new mineral glass crystal installed to give a clear view to the very edges of the dial. It continues to keep accurate time.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
A more than four decade old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
Omega Geneve:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.
Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve) and later expanded the line of watches featuring the name. According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records.
