Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.
Today's offering showcases this prime example of an uncommon tonneau Constellation with original dial very cool custom refinished in emerald green. The photos couldn't do it justice - the dial is rich and deep with a great tone. It really catches the light and changes lightness depending on the angle of the light.
Tonneau Constellations are one of the few that have a more rectangular dress watch appearance.
Featuring an officially certified automatic chronometer movement with quick-set date and a sleek stainless steel case, this late 60's - early 70's era Omega demonstrates why the Constellation was the company's flagship line.
Its caliber 1001 movement ultra-thin automatic movement measures only 4.25mm thick and has a thinner rotor to reduce stress on winding parts and is adjusted to run accurately in five positions and across a range of temperatures.
It is fully Omega down to the hands, crown, and even original Omega signed crystal!
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.8 out of 10. The dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. Please inquire if you would like photos of the inside or of the dial in daylight.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new calfskin band making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
A nearly half century old Omega that looks like new!
