Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it is suitable for both casual and professional dress.
Today's offering showcases this strikingly styled Constellation chronometer. It features a timeless and elegant case and gorgeous oxblood red vignette colored dial.
It measures 35mm without the crown - one millimeter smaller than a Rolex Datejust.
Powering the watch is Omega's officially certified chronometer caliber 712 movement, the thinnest automatic movement ever made by the company.
The 700 series has a direct lineage to the celebrated 500 series, and is arguably as good, and collectors are beginning to recognize it accordingly.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint. The observatory logo on the back is missing its detail of the observatory itself. The rest of the watch presents as mint with the slightest aging around the engine bay.
The original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in oxblood vignette - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, the movement has been freshly fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It is keeping time on par with a brand new Omega chronometer watches in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
A more than half century old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
