Today's offering showcases this classic vintage retro Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 with green vignette dial. It presents in gorgeous restored condition. Our photos couldn't do justice to its condition.
The Seamaster Cosmic is one of our favorite non-exotic Seamasters from the era because of its large size, classic design, and well-made case with unique "bathysphere" style design that has an inner movement holder that houses the movement.
At a time when the quartz revolution was beginning to take place this watch with automatic Cal. 1012 movement, which has seven more jewels than its sister movement the 1010, carried on both the style and mechanical functionality of a traditional Seamaster.
This Cosmic 2000 is large for the era, measuring 38mm in diameter by a full 48mm long.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
The case presents as mint with very slight aging on the edge of the underside of one lug. On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint with sharp lines.
The Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished in emerald green vignette - emerald green that fades to black around the periphery. The printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. The steel hands have been whitened - please inquire if you would like them unwhitened.
As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has just fully overhauled the movement. It winds very smoothly and is keeping accurate time.
For the finishing touch, a new leather strap and aftermarket Omega buckle has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
