1973 Omega Seamaster Chronometer Full Size Vintage Mens Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9686

Today's offering showcases this quite uncommon and collectable Chronometer in gorgeous restored condition.

Seamaster Chronometers made after 1952 are one of Omega's seldom seen vintage watches. They featured all of the rugged sportiness of the Seamaster line coupled with an officially certified chronometer movement.

After their release and after Omega divided the line into two models in 1952, the "plain" Seamaster, a sport watch without chronometer certification, and the Constellation, the higher-end chronometer option. Omega only made a relatively few Seamaster Chronometers.

It measures slightly over 35mm in diameter, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Datejust model.

It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous restored condition - about a 9.6 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint. Its dial has meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced its Officially Certified Chronometer movement which consists of fully disassembling the watch, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping time virtually on par with a new Omega in our testing.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Note: The watch's page on the Omega website can be found here.

A more than half-century old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
