1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 9846

Today's offering showcases this prime example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

It has a water-resistant style case with screw back, timeless silver dial, and fine automatic movement with quick-setting date.

It is full size for a vintage watch, measuring 35mm in diameter, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records. They later expanded the use of the model name to other watches like this one.

It is all original and in gorgeous condition - it presents as a 9.7 out of 10.

Its case presents as mint with only slight signs of previous polishing. On the wrist it presents as gorgeous mint with strong lines. Its untouched original dial is mint. The original luminous on the hands and dots has pleasingly lightly toned and matches well.

A Master Watchmaker has serviced its original Omega movement, which is very clean. It is running strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a new Omega in our testing recording position.

For the finishing touch, we have installed a new aftermarket leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
