1974 Omega Geneve Vintage Mens Automatic Watch with Tiffany Blue Dial - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8199

Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored example of one of Omega's classic vintage gent's Geneve watches. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

It has a water-resistant style case with screw back, gorgeous Tiffany & Co. robins egg blue dial, and quick-setting date. It is full size for a vintage watch, measuring 35mm, in between the size of a Rolex Date and a Rolex Datejust.

It has 100% Omega parts, even down to the original crystal! It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

The case presents as mint. Despite what the photos seem to suggest the engraved Omega symbol on the back is still perfectly clear.

The original Omega dial has been meticulously custom restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.

A Master Watchmaker has just overhauled the movement. Amazingly after nearly a half a century it is running as strong and true as a brand new Omega chronometer in our testing position.

For the finishing touch a new calfskin leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

An four and a half decade old Omega that presents on the wrist like new.

Omega Geneve:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Beginning in 1953 Omega placed the name Geneve on the dials of some of the members of the 30mm collection which at the time were produced in the company's workshops in Geneve (to put Geneve on a dial of a watch certain components and processes must take place in Geneve). According to Omega the name referred to to the Genevan Observatory where the early 30mm calibers set a number of records. They later expanded the use of the model name to other watches like this one.
