Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored c. 1979 Omega Seamaster with green vignette dial. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1010 movement with quick-setting date carried on the mechanical tradition of the Seamaster.
It measures 35mm in diameter, in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust.
It has fully Omega parts down to the original waterproofing seal and has just finished an expertly done restoration. It presents in gorgeous condition. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
The case, with its timeless design, presents as mint with only slight signs of previous polishing. The case back, which bears a reference number from a slightly different model made at the same time as this watch, has likely been replaced, although it's possible that it's original because Omega did interchange parts on occasion.
The dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the fine caliber 1010 movement has been freshly expertly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. We have also timed it on a machine that spins it in all directions simulating it being worn on the wrist, and it is keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped with a new leather strap with aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
A four and a half decade old Seamaster that looks like new on the wrist!
