Today's offering showcases this gorgeous restored vintage Omega Seamaster day date with caliber 1020 movement. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice!
Here are some of its features:
-
Pioneering "double quick-set" day and date features - Omega created the caliber 1020 and 1022 movements with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date.Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega was a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches, evidenced by this example made about a decade before.
-
Full size retro case - Its diameter is 35mm, one millimeter smaller than a Rolex Datejust
- Striking emerald green dial
- Faster beat (28,800 bph) balance system for greater accuracy
It is fully Omega down to the original hands, signed winding crown, and even the original Omega waterproofing seal!
It had just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition - on the wrist it presents like new.
The case is just short of perfect mint with the slightest remnants of wear to the underside of the lugs. On the wrist it presents as absolutely perfect mint - a 10.0 out of 10.0. The original Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration, a Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement, which is clean. It continues to keep time like a brand new Omega chronometer in our testing on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
A four decade old Omega that looks presents like new on the wrist!
