Today's offering showcases this classic mens Omega in rare mint original condition. It is all-original down to even the original waterproofing seal!
It has a classic and timeless style. In design and construction it is essentially identical to other models branded Seamaster during the period, but this reference was sold without the moniker on the dial.
Its movement is an Omega caliber 1342 quartz mechanism with quick-setting hour for easy changing of the time zone and date and original Omega "Accuset" push button crown for precision setting of the minutes and seconds.
It is a nice size for the era, measuring 35mm without the crown, about the same size as a Rolex Datejust.
Its case presents in gorgeous mint condition. It retains strong lines...our photos couldn't do it justice. Its dial is original and mint. Other than having a very light polishing, it is an unrestored, all-original classic Omega that presents as a 9.8 out of 10.
A Master Watchmaker has just performed any needed servicing. As one might expect from a watch in this condition its movement is very clean as well. Photos of the inside available upon request.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
A four decade old Omega that presents essentially like new on the wrist!
Omega Seamaster:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one even graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.
Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
