Today's offering showcases this gorgeously restored retro vintage Omega Seamaster day date with caliber 1020 movement.
As a Seamaster, it's a watch that has both elegance and sporting capabilities. It is a later model vintage Seamaster. Built at a time when the quartz revolution was taking hold and Omega was cutting costs, this watch with automatic Cal. 1020 movement with quick-setting date carried on the mechanical tradition of the Seamaster.
Here are some of its features:
* Pioneering so-called "double quick-set" day and date features - This is an early double quick-setting day date Omega watch. Omega created the 1020 and 1022 series movement with a double quick-set capability for convenient setting of the day and date. Though many connoisseurs associate the idea of the double quick-set watch with Rolex, which first offered the President model with this "new" feature in late 1990, Omega's 1020 series mechanisms were a pioneer of the technology in large scale production watches.
* Original retro Omega bracelet
* Green vignette dial
* All of its original parts down to its original waterproofing seal
It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous condition - it presents as a 9.7 out of 10. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
Its case presents as mint. Its high polish facets are perfect. Its Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. And its long, adjustable integrated bracelet presents as mint.
As part of the restoration, the movement has been overhauled by a Master Watchmaker, which is clean. We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
A more than four and a half decade old Omega that looks like new on the wrist!
