Omega Constellation Millennium Special Edition Mens Automatic Chronometer Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 8966

Omega's flagship line for decades, the Constellation represents style, luxury, attention to detail, robust function, and most all, superior precision. Elegant and stately, it's well-suited for both casual and professional dress.

Today's offering showcases this special edition mens Omega Constellation Millennium made in 2000 to commemorate the start of the new millennium. It's an uncommon watch.

It's a version of the famous Constellation Manhattan line that has been a staple of Omegas for a several decades. Designed by Carol Didisheim, the Manhattan became one of Omega's iconic designs.

Our friend and Constellation expert Desmond Guilfoyle described it this way: "The Omega Constellation Manhattan is a bona fide technical and aesthetic icon of the nineteen-eighties. It is one of a handful of early nineteen-eighties watches that have so far stood the test of time. It stands alongside the Piaget Polo, the revived Cartier Tank Watch, the Movado Museum Watch collection, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Swatch as true emblems of nineteen-eighties watch design."

It has a striking linen-textured dial - our photos couldn't do it justice. Measuring 36mm in diameter, it has the same width as a mens Rolex Datejust.

Ours Manhattan features one of the company's very fine caliber 1120 automatic movements, fine tuned all the way up to officially certified chronometer standards. These movement have achieved an impressive reputation for quality, reliability, accuracy and precision.

This special Millennium has all of its original parts and presents in gorgeous condition - about a 9.7 out of a perfect 10. It is a more recent iteration of the Manhattan Constellation that features the curved links, decorated dial, and more robust bracelet.

A Master Watchmaker has performed any needed servicing on the movement. It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Omega chronometer in our testing position.

For the finishing touch it has been meticulously detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Retail Replacement Value for the newest non-special edition version of the Constellation Manhattan: $4,400.00 USD + tax
