Today's offering showcases this beautiful and complicated Certified Pre-Owned automatic Speedmaster, ref. 3211.30.00.
Its case and bracelet both carry a traditional speedy look, although the bezel is of the more sleeker current brushed style. The silver dial is beautiful. It is a recent Speedy sold new in 2015.
It is 100% Omega down to the waterproofing seal and presents in gorgeous condition - a 9.5 out of 10.
It is not a cosmetically refurbished example - it is unpolished since leaving the factory and still has a protective sticker on the back. It could be lightly polished to look like new.
Powering it is its very fine caliber 1164 officially certified as a chronometer. Photos of the inside available upon request.
We have timed it in five chronometer positions - it continues to keep time nearly on par with a new Speedy.
Accompanying it are its original inner and out boxes, booklets, tag and certificate cards with the watch's model and serial number on it - a complete set.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
The watch's page on the Omega website can be found here:
https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-speedmaster-date-day-date-chronograph-40-mm-date-32113000 This gorgeous condition Speedy with full boxes and papers is a great buy - it is selling for only about 40% of the price of a new one.
Speedmaster:
In 1957, Omega unveiled a chronograph that was a true technological marvel, the Speedmaster. Its incredible durability and accuracy would not only win it accolades around the world and the distinction of being the first watch to be worn on the moon, it would accomplish something far more important, guiding the crew of Apollo 13 safely back home after their malfunctioning electronic systems had shut down.
