We are proud to offer the timelessly classic Patek Philippe wristwatch showcased in today's offering. It features an elegant curved case and silver dial with gold accents.
It is often referred to as the "Tegolino", thanks to its resemblance to a famous Italian rectangular cake. It is a vintage Patek that embodies class. It's thin, slides nicely under a shirt cuff, and doesn't draw a lot of attention to itself.
Patek produced this watch from the mid 1930's until the late '50's. The cases for the 425 were made by Markowsky and are slightly curved so to be comfortable on the wrist of the wearer.
It is powered by one of Patek Philippe's illustrious 9'90 movements, so well designed Patek that used it for more than 40 years. The 9'90 Patek Philippe movement is a tonneau shaped movement introduced in 1934 was fitted into many famous Patek Philippe watches such as the "Banana" (ref. 2442), the "Eiffel Tower " (ref. 2441), and the "Tegolino".
It has all original parts down to all hands and the Patek signed winding crown.
Its 18K gold case retains a strong hallmark. Its silver dial shows only fairly light aging - please inquire if you would like it expertly refinished. Note that in person its Patek printing appears stronger than the photos suggest. And its extremely high grade movement is keeping time.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it and installed a correct new old stock original faceted crystal, just like the original. We have timed it in five chronometer positions.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
If you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives for it for you, please inquire.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.
