1953 Patek Philippe Vintage Ladies Hooded Lug Watch - 18K Gold

Patek Philippe

Item No. 8831

We are proud to offer today this very fine and fabulously styled mid-century era ladies Patek Philippe.

With its understated silver face and wonderfully distinctive case with hooded lugs, it showcases a classic and elegant vintage Patek style. Our photos couldn't quite capture the subtleties of the sides of the distinctive case.

Powering the watch is its illustrious handwound movement, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding ladies movements ever built.

It has all of its original parts and presents in excellent condition.

Its case presents as better than near mint with only fairly light signs of previous polishing. It retains a crisp hallmark.

Its silver dial is bright and clean, well-restored in vintage times. And its movement is very clean.

Two of our Master Watchmakers teamed together for nearly three years to breathe new life into the movement which consisted of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with correct Patek replacements including the minute wheel, clutch wheel, stem, and mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $2895 value). Our loss is your gain.

We have also timed it on a machine that simulates it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch, we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

Please inquire if you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives. Patek charges 550 CHF.
