Today's offering showcases this classic and pleasing Patek Philippe mens handwound dress watch. It has all of its original parts.
With its understated silver face and timeless case with downward turned lugs, it showcases an elegant vintage Patek style.
Powering the watch is its illustrious Patek Philippe 10 ligne movement, stamped in two places with the prestigious Poinçon de Genève, unquestionably among the finest hand-winding movements ever built.
Its thin Patek Philippe case presents nicely on the wrist. The back has two pin prick indentions, and it shows signs of previous polishing. It is scratch-free. Its dial appears original with fairly mild aging. Please inquire if you would like it restored.
One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker (for many years now Rolex has not "certified" watchmakers, they only "train" them), has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with genuine Patek parts, installing a new mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (an $895 value).
It is running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time as good or better than a new Patek in our testing position.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a new crocodile strap that tapers to 14mm so that a vintage Patek buckle could be installed if you desire. For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
If you would like us to obtain an Extract from the Patek Philippe archives for you please inquire.
Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
Patek Philippe:
Patek Philippe sets the standard as the finest watch manufacturer in the world. In the 1960's and 70's, Patek Philippe produced less than fifty watches per day (contrast this with Rolex and other fine watch manufacturers that produced 500 - 3,000 pieces per day). Important examples of Patek's wristwatches took between nine-months and one-year to assemble.
