Launched in 1960, Piaget's 12P movement was the thinnest automatic movement in the world of its time: a mere 2.3 mm thick! Though only about as thick as a US half-dollar, it sacrifices nothing in performance. The thiness of its automatic automatic engine was achieved by the use of 24 carat gold microrotor set down into the movement. We love these watches for their technical innovation, relative uncommonness, superior finished movement, and understated design.

We were fortunate to acquire it in such beautiful original condition. All parts are original. It presents as mint condition on the wrist.

The case presents as mint condition with all of its original stamping strong. The untouched smoky gray dial presents as mint. Its sapphire crystal is mint. And its original removeable Piaget bracelet is in excellent condition, previously slightly shortened by a jeweler.

Our Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components with new Piaget parts, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value). It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
