In 1985, in collaboration and partnership with the famous Italian sports fashion manufacturer Ellese and design studio Archap, Breitling developed an unusual ref., 82.270. The model was made both in this mens size and a ladies reference.

It features a bi-directional rotating bezel that has been said it could be used for navigation or wind direction for yachting.
