Breitling Pluton "Harrison Ford" Navitimer 2100 Chronograph Multifunction Military Pilots Watch - Stainless Steel

Breitling

Item No. 8778

Today's offering features a cool and uncommon Breitling Pluton Navitimer 2100 multifunction chronograph watch. Our listing shows Harrison Ford in 1984 wearing a PVD Military Assigned French Aviation 2100.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom came out in 1984. By then Harrison Ford, playing the swashbuckling lead, had already appeared in American Graffiti (1973), Apocalypse Now (1979), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Blade Runner (1982), and the first three Star Wars movies – he was one of Hollywood's leading men.

The Breitling Pluton Navitimer Ref. 2100 embodies the brand's adaptation during the quartz era of the 1980s while preserving the adventurous DNA of the Navitimer line. An uncommon Breitling model, it served as the precursor to their Academy and Intruder lines.

Designed with professional aviators in mind, it combines the iconic rotating bezel and flight-scale utility with the precision of a multifunction quartz chronograph. The black dial features luminous markers, analog hands, and digital display windows - a cutting-edge fusion for its time. Its stainless steel case and signed bracelet complete the look of a rugged pilot's tool that has become collectible today - a symbol of Breitling's survival through the quartz revolution and a fascinating chapter in aviation horology.

This version of the Pluton with all steel bezel and Pluton bracelet was made from 1980-1985 - right during the peak of Ford's career. It was sold as part of Breitling's flagship Navitimer line.

Plutons were issued to pilots in the Yugoslav Air Force and Air Defense. As you might expect from a watch designed for military pilots, it has a great technical look.

Ours has all of its original parts and present in gorgeous condition - a 9.2 out of 10.
