Today's offering showcases this gorgeous example of one of the company's distinctive and fine early ladies dress watches.
Built c. 1927 it has timeless elegance and class. Complete with its rectangular 9K gold stepped case and classic silver dial, it has an understated Art Deco appeal.
Powering this gem is an early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring a tonneau shape with larger mainspring barrel at one end opposite a large balance wheel for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's fine movement technology for the era.
It has all of its original parts down to the hands and winding crown and original 9K bracelet with interesting design - generally a bracelet either separates at the clasp or has expansion links. This bracelet has both, a combination we don't ever recall having on a bracelet that we've owned.
Its case is in better than near mint condition with original reference and serial numbers strongly intact. Its dial is a nice restoration done in vintage times.
One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement making it ready for immediate enjoyment (a $795 value).
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
