Today's offering showcases this gorgeous original example of one of the company's distinctive and fine 1940's ladies dress watches.
Complete with its 18K rose gold case that features elegant dropping lugs and a light silver dial (face), it has a timeless elegance and class.
Powering this gem is a fine, early Rolex timekeeping mechanism. Featuring Rolex's patented Super Balance system as well as possessing a tonneau shape for longer running reserve and more accurate timekeeping, it employed Rolex's premier movement technology for the era.
While many of the company's similar ladies dress watches from the era were very nice, this example pleases us a little more in the beauty of its case design.
It has all of its original parts down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.
Its case is very good condition with a crisp hallmark and one ding. All of the factory stamping is still lightly intact on the back. Its classic dial, which has slightly warmed to a light sepia giving it a true vintage look, is original and untouched. Please inquire if you would like it refinished.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it.
For the finishing touch we have installed a new black cord strap designed to replicate a vintage style that adjusts to fit virtually any size wrist making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
