Rolex was a fairly early adopter of using shock protection in their movements, and the 4444 was one of the first models to offer it, as the dial proudly proclaims.

Its dial has 1/5 second markings for precision, technical, and sporting timing uses.

Housed in one of Rolex's water-tight Oyster cases, the wristwatch originally offered its owner complete protection against water, dust, and perspiration. Inside the rugged case Rolex placed one of their Cal. 700 series handwound movement.

It measures 32mm in diameter so is well-suited for someone who does not have a large wrist.

It has all Rolex parts and has just finished a true expertly done sympathetic restoration. Our photos couldn't do it justice.
