It features a much thinner profile than the Perpetual models due to its handwound movement, and its understated and very classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is perfectly at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions.

Today's offering showcases this Certified Pre-Owned early vintage ref. 6282 "Shock Resisting" Rolex Oyster . Rolex was a fairly early adopter of using shock protection in their movements, and this 6282 was an early model with it, as the dial proclaims.

It has all of its original Rolex parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Our photos couldn't begin to do it justice.

It measures 34.5mm in diameter, in between the sizes of a Rolex Date and Datejust.

Housed in one of Rolex's watertight Oyster cases, the wristwatch originally offered its owner complete protection against water, dust, and perspiration. Inside the rugged case Rolex placed one of their Cal. 710 series handwound movement, the same base movement used in Bubbleback watches.

Its case presents in mint condition. Its Rolex dial has been meticulously restored - its printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $595 value).
