1960's Rolex Ladies Vintage Cocktail Watch - 18K White Gold & Diamonds

Rolex

Item No. 10293SH

Today's offering showcases this rare and exquisite Rolex creation. It is all-original and stunning - our photos couldn't do it justice.

This glamorous vintage Rolex is among the most evocative ladies’ designs of the 1960s — a diamond-set cocktail watch that perfectly balanced jewelry artistry with Rolex precision.

It is a special creation made for Bucherer - according to Bucherer advertisement from the period, watches this this were made exclusively for the Swiss retailer. As Hess and Dowling state in their authoritative work on Rolex, watches like this are, "in fact, the last hand made Rolex watches."

Bejeweled with diamonds highlighted by six full brilliants, the 18K white Rolex gold case is absolutely stunning! Showcasing a beautiful open geometric design, this cocktail watch as it is called, added the perfect finishing touch to outfits worn to galas, award ceremonies, or other special gatherings.

The brilliant diamonds are white, near flawless, and full of fire as one would expect from original Rolex factory set diamonds. Despite it small size, its thick case and bracelet give it quite a substantial feel.

We were fortunate to acquire this important Rolex in pleasing all-original condition, down to the untouched dial, hands and original winding crown. It has a beautiful fancy brick link bracelet.

Its case is in excellent condition with light wear and light signs of previous polishing. Its original silver dial is in excellent condition. Despite what the photos seem to suggest, its slight aging is hardly visible to the naked eye..

One of our Master Watchmakers who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker (for many years now Rolex does not "certify" they only "train"), has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a new correct Rolex mainspring, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive poising, timing, testing and regulation (an $895 value).

It is running very strong and true, keeping time essentially on par with a brand new Rolex.

For the finishing touch, we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Accompanying the watch is a Rolex - Bucherer spoon from the era that showcased the companies' partnership.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch’s performance.

If you are looking for a true treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Rolexes don't match the charm and romance of this vintage original.

Your watch is important to us, and we will take care of it for its lifetime. We provide the best after sale care in the business with an extremely experienced team of four Master Watchmakers all of whom each have over thirty-five years of experience and a large number of parts.
