The Oyster Precision have become desirable non-sport vintage Rolex watches because their understated and classic design contrast the "busier" look of some of the modern Rolex watches. It's a watch that is at home being worn everyday or only for special occasions. Produced from the early 1950's into the 1980's, it was a strong commercial success for Rolex, winning a large following.

It is an uncommon ref. 6410 model with Rolex caliber 1315 handwound movement.

It has all of its original Rolex parts down to even the original hands and crown and presents in gorgeous condition. Its original bracelet is correctly stamped 1965 as well.

Its case presents beautifully. The lugs and case back show signs of previous polishing - otherwise the case presents as just short of mint.

Its dial presents as mint. It may be a very-high quality refinishing in vintage times.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, installing a new mainspring, replacing the crystal with a rare new-old-stock correct original Rolex Tropic crystal, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $695 value).

It winds very smoothly for a watch of its age, and is running very strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Rolex in our testing position.
