Possessing understated elegance and clean lines the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date showcases a true classic style. Is it essentially a Datejust model with a slightly smaller diameter (34mm compared to 36mm).
As precise as it is classic, our watch is powered by the renowned Caliber 1570 movement, the mechanism that powered certain Datejust models as well as models of the Submariner, Explorer, and GMT.
This "Tropical" or "Hypoallergenic" watch features a gold shell top with original stainless steel back. It's appropriate for those with sensitive skin or for warmer climates and still looks like a solid gold Rolex for a fraction of the price!
It is original, and the blue dial is in near mint condition. (The dial finish came out in the photos looking speckled. It actually is a beautiful and even blue that is the same tone across the whole dial).
Included with the purchase is a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
A published example of a this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Guido Mondani editor, Vol. 1, pg. 262.
