1910's Patek Philippe Tiffany & Co. Vintage Art Nouveau Ladies Watch - 18K Gold, Diamonds & Enamel

Patek Philippe

Item No. 8804SH

In the 1910's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of the company's select offerings was a line of watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial. Although the maker's name were always hidden, the retailer contracted with the world's finest watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

Today these special watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any lady desiring to wear a world-class timepiece.

For this breathtaking piece Tiffany partnered with the premier watchmaker in the world, Patek Philippe.

The very rare and exclusive ladies diamond and enamel 18K gold Patek Philippe for Tiffany & Co. watch showcased in todays offering is a prime example of this phenomenon. We were very fortunate to acquire it.

The breathtaking bezel of its stunning case is done in dark blue matte finish enamel with ornate white floral motif. Accenting the gorgeous enamel are four round mine cut diamonds. The diamonds are very high quality, as one would expect from original Patek Philippe factory set diamonds on a watch of this caliber. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

Powering it is its illustrious original handwound movement. When it comes to ladies watches, the focus is normally much more directed to the what's on the outside of the watch than what's on the inside. That is not the case with this watch whose engine would make most men's watches jealous.

Patek designed it to maintain very accurate timekeeping even across a wide range of temperatures, positions, and even amounts of power left (isochronism), something only the highest top tier of mens movements could do. In most watches the rate changes as the power reserve lessens. It has eight adjustments in total - five for chronometer positions and three for heat, cold, isochronism. It is extremely high-grade.

Its case presents beautifully on the wrist. Their are no chips or cracks in the enamel. The back shows prior restoration to the wire lugs - wire lugs often need to be reinforced at some point - so the original outer Patek signature on the back is mostly ghosted.

This special watch has matching case and serial numbers and still retains its fluted winding crown.

Its silver Tiffany & Co. signed dial with geometric design, with its original enamel painted details still present, was refinished in vintage times and is still quite clean.

One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, reassembling and lubricating the movement, installing a correct new old stock ultra thin mainspring, and extensive timing testing and regulation (a $795 value).

It comes equipped on a newer leather alligator grain strap. For a more formal look it could be paired with a black suede or satin strap.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
