1920 Patek Philippe Tiffany & Co. Vintage Art Nouveau Ladies Watch - Platinum & Diamonds

Patek Philippe

Item No. 6628

In the 1920's, no name better captured the idea of embracing the best life had to offer than that of Tiffany & Co. One of the company's select offerings was a line of watches emblazoned with the Tiffany & Co. name on the dial. Although the maker's name were always hidden, the retailer contracted with the world's finest watch and jewelry making firms to produce these treasured timepieces.

Today these special watches are sought-after by women of distinction, Hollywood actresses, and any lady desiring to wear a world-class timepiece.

For this breathtaking piece Tiffany partnered with the premier watchmaker in the world, Patek Philippe.

The very rare and exclusive ladies diamond and platinum Patek Philippe for Tiffany & Co. watch showcased in today's offering is a prime example of this phenomenon. We were very fortunate to acquire it.

For the case Tiffany & co. enlisted the help of the one of the best American case manufacturers of the day, Cresarrow of New York. Founded by Henry Blank in the late nineteenth century, Cresarrow contracted with Patek, Vacheron & Constantin, Tiffany, Cartier, IWC and also a few lesser known houses to build some of the beautiful examples of their early wristwatch cases.

The thirty-six diamonds are very high quality, as one would expect from original factory set diamonds on a watch of this caliber. Our photos couldn't do it justice.

This very special watch is all original down to the beautiful blue steel hands and ornate floral Patek Philippe winding crown - all parts original.

It is in very pleasing condition, appearing to have been worn seldom and carefully in appreciation of its quality and value and then safely stored away.

Its silver Tiffany & Co. dial is original and untouched. Nice original dial are seldom seen on nearly 100 year old Pateks. Its beautifully engraved case is near mint and does not appear to have ever been polished. And its original Patek movement is keeping time.

One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it. For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new expensive satin strap with so-called soft Cartier lining designed to replicate the look of the original black ribbon band with the convenience of a moder strap, making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function.

Accompanying the watch is an Extract from the Patek Philippe archives attesting to its authenticity and originality.
