1978 Omega Seamaster Large Vintage Mens Quartz Stainless Steel Watch with Date

Omega

Item No. 7457

Today's offering showcases this classic and rare retro mens Omega Seamaster in rare mint original condition. It is all-original down to the signed Omega crystal and even the waterproofing seal!

It has a cool retro style and rare Omega caliber 1315 quartz mechanism that features a quick-setting hour for easy changing of time zone and date, yet traditional time-setting through the crown. Out of the hundreds - perhaps even 1,000 or more - Omega watches that we've owned we believe this is the first 1315 powered watch we've had.

It is a nice large size for the era, measuring 37mm without the crown, larger than a Rolex Datejust.

Its case presents on the wrist as mint. It has just the slightest spot of wear on the edge of the case back. The case presents as a 9.7 out of 10. Its dial is original and mint. Other than having a very light polishing, it is an unrestored, all-original Seamaster that presents as a 9.8 out of 10.

A Master Watchmaker has just performed any needed servicing and installed a new battery. Photos of the inside available upon request.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.

For the finishing touch it has been equipped it with a brand new leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

A four decade old Omega that presents essentially like new on the wrist!

Omega Seamaster:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one even graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
