Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronograph Chronometer Automatic Mens Stainless Steel Watch - 353-22

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 7972

Today's offering showcases this Certified Pre-Owned Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronograph in gorgeous condition.

Since 1846, the Swiss watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has been building some of the most exceptional and sought-after timepieces. Their watches achieved the status of Audemars Piguet and other of the finest Swiss firms as part of the elite group of manufacturers whose timepieces are recognized as the most exclusive and costly in the world.

For those looking for a sport watch that is fashionable and elegant, they have clearly found it in the Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronograph. With its wonderfully unique, detail rich design paired with robust capabilities, it is solid enough to compete with professional diving instruments yet pleasing to eye enough for those with discerning fashion tastes, a true dressy diver.

It harkens back to the company's heritage as a maker of marine chronometers. Their marine chronometer used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.

Equipped with not only a screw down security crown but also screwed down pushers like a Rolex Daytona, it was originally rated to 200 meters. Its 38mm case has a cartouche with the watch's individual number on the side.

Its strong black dial is both balanced and functional, and its bright Super Luminova equipped hands provide clear legibility in dark conditions.

Powering the watch is its original high-grade Ulysse Nardin UN 35 (base ETA 2892-A2) automatic movement with a prestigious Dubois Depraz chronograph module. It is rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve and oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it is constructed with 21 jewels, a free-sprung monometallic balance, and a shock absorber device. It includes a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds device for precision time setting.

We are proud to offer it in gorgeous condition - it presents as a 9.7 or 9.8 out of 10. It has all of its original parts and presents as just short of perfect mint. Its dial and crystal both present as mint. Its case is 99% mint. And its original bracelet presents as mint with only light stretch. This watch could also accommodate a leather or rubber strap to give it a variety of wearing scenarios.

A Master Watchmaker has overhauled the movement (a $695 value), and it is keeping time on par with a new UN.

For the finishing touch we have meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.

Retail Replacement Price: The current price for the newest Marine Chronograph is $11,900.00 USD + tax and that watch is only on a leather strap, not a bracelet.
