1950's Ulysse Nardin Vintage Mens Square Watch - Stainless Steel

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 7848

Today's offering showcases this very elegant mens Ulysse Nardin. It has a classically shaped square case with fine lugs and timeless and clean white dial. It has a wonderful high-grade vintage style.

For a square watch from the era, it is pleasingly not small and its large dial makes it present larger than its diameter.

Powering it is its original well-made Ulysse Nardin handwound movement. Unlike most of the Ulysse Nardins here in the States which were made for the U.S. market, this is a true all Swiss creation.

It has fully UN parts down to all the hands and the original crown. It has just finished a true expertly done restoration.

The case presents as mint. The dial has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.

As part of the restoration a Master Watchmaker has overhauled it. It is running strong and keeping accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin leather strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A classic more than six decade old Ulysse Nardin that presents on the wrist almost like new!

Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
