1960's Ulysse Nardin Vintage Mens Large 37mm Automatic Calatrava Watch, Stainless Steel

Ulysse Nardin

Item No. 7469

Today's offering showcases this handsome and uncommon large mens automatic Ulysse Nardin gold medallion watch. It has a very classic waterproof style calatrava case and royal blue dial.

Measuring 37mm in diameter by 45mm long, it is slightly larger than a Rolex Datejust. We've fallen in love with its style and full size. It is a gold medallion model with its 18K medallion fitted into the back.

Its 28 jewel UN movement has a semi quick-setting date.

It is fully Ulysse Nardin down to the signed crown and presents in true expertly restored condition. Its regal dial, which showcases more modern style larger markers, has been meticulously refinished - the printing could pass as UN factory done to the naked eye.

The photos couldn't do it justice.

As part of the restoration, the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. Like a new officially certified chronometer, it is keeping chronometer grade time in all five testing positions.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new calfskin strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

A fifty year old Ulysse Nardin that presents like new on the wrist!

Ulysse Nardin:
Ulysse Nardin is best known by many collectors for creating chronometers, extremely accurate time keeping instruments. Their marine chronometer was used by ship's captains to plot and follow the correct course while at sea. By employing sextants and chronometers, a captain could track the changes in his course over time and determine the exact location of his ship, and Nardin's marine chronometers were among the most reliable and sought after.
