1920's Vacheron & Constantin Vintage Ladies Art Deco Watch - 18K White Gold

Vacheron & Constantin

Item No. 8610

Today's offering showcases this rare and very fine Art Deco Vacheron & Constantin ladies watch.

Built circa the first half of the 1920's, it combines exceptional quality with wonderful styling. Featuring an elegant Tonneau case and a timeless silver dial it showcases a wonderful Art Deco style with some subtitles carried over from Art Nouveau sensibilities.

The Art Deco period, with its love for geometrical design saw the creation of striking pieces by Vacheron & Constantin. These were mainly dress watches, although some were sports watches, as well as exotic and luxurious pieces. They also were often small by today's standards, keeping in step with the tastes of the time.

Its case is covered in stunning original factory done scroll work across the whole bezel and sides of the case, and it matches the watch's exquisite original engraved crown.

Its beautiful original blue steel "Breguet moon" hands have aged to a deep purple tone visible at various angles...unfortunately the camera couldn't quite capture it.

We are pleased to offer it with all of its original parts. It presents in pleasing condition.

Its 18K white gold original contract case for Vacheron & Constantin with V & C case number is better than near mint. It is scratch-free and has not been over polished.

Its Breguet numeral dial is classic and clean, restored long ago in vintage times. It matches the watch well.

One of our Master Watchmakers has fully serviced the watch which consists of fully disassembling the movement, carefully inspecting each part, replacing any overly worn components, installing a new mineral glass crystal like the original, reassembling and lubricating the movement, and extensive timing testing and regulation (an $895 value).

We have tested its very high grade movement on a machine that spins the watch in all directions simulating it being worn on the wrist. It is keeping very accurate time.

For the finishing touch we have installed a brand new high quality leather strap designed for fixed lug watches making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function and a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity.
