1946 Rolex Vintage Mens Ref. 3372 "Luxury Model" Bubbleback Watch - 14K Rose Gold

Rolex

Item No. 6951SH

Today's offering showcases this "Luxury Model" Bubbleback made circa 1946. Marketed by Rolex as its top of the line bubbleback model, the Luxury Model was most expensive bubbleback of its time originally costing 865 Swiss Francs in the 18K version. As the first Rolex to ever feature the combination of a engine turned bezel, three piece case, and perpetual designation, it possessed both high fashion and functionality.

Rolex sold all Luxury Model watches with a Bulletin de Marche Officiel de l'Observatoire (official chronometer certification) attesting to their superior performance.

We've always loved the look of the engine turned bezel on these watches.

It is fully Rolex down to the original hands and winding crown. It presents beautifully on the wrist.

The inside of the back shows a servicing done by Rolex in 1974 attesting to its originality. We have performed any needed servicing on it. It winds very smoothly and the crown screws down very well.

For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new Teju lizard strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Note: Published examples of this model can be found in Osvaldo Patrizzi's work Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches, 2001 Edition, Guido Mondani editor, Vol. 2, pg. 123-126.
