1950 Omega Seamaster Vintage Mens Cal. 351 "Hammer" Automatic Watch - Stainless Steel

Omega

Item No. 7646

Today's offering showcases this classic and meticulously restored Calatrava-style Omega Seamaster. Powering the watch is Omega's first automatic series movement, caliber 351. It has a large uni-directional so-called "bumper" rotor.

Its 18K gold dial accents and hands dress up its style and give it even great versatility to work with more outfits.

It measures approximately 33.1mm in diameter without the crown, in between the size of a Rolex Date and Rolex Datejust.

It is 100% Omega down to the dial, hands, and winding crown.

It has just finished a true expertly done restoration and presents in gorgeous restored condition. The case presents as mint.

Its dial has been meticulously sympathetically refinished - the printing could nearly pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye and the marker dots have been done in sepia to give it a true vintage look.

As part of the restoration the movement has been fully serviced by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly. Amazingly after 70 years it continues to keep time on par with a new Omega chronometer in our testing position.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to the watch's performance.

For the finishing touch a new aftermarket leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

A less common first automatic series classic Seamaster that presents like new on the wrist!

The Seamaster:
Omega watches can be found on the wrists of many prominent figures including Pierce Brosnan, Michael Schumacher, Michael Phelps, Ernie Els, Prince William, and one graced the wrist of President John F. Kennedy. Omega has been the official timekeeper for 21 Olympic Games and is the official chronometer of NASA.

Omega is perhaps best known by watch connoisseurs for its Seamaster line of dive watches. Introduced in 1948, they have been embraced by water sports enthusiasts and often marry a striking look with a high performance movement.
