Item No. 5682

Often when things are complicated, it means more stress and more effort, but in the end, it's worth it. This same idea holds true for complicated vintage wristwatches who craftsmen created timepieces that transcend art and talent. When it comes to vintage wristwatches, the highest realms of respect and value are often reserved for watches that do much more than merely tell time.

The Benrus Swiss wristwatch featured in today's offering is an example of this phenomenon - and available within a price range that is not exclusive.

Equipped with complications that display the day of the week unusually in an aperture by 12 and the date using a hand, our favorite method for showing a date, it's a fine display of precision to be enjoyed on the wrist. The date quick-sets by repeatedly pushing the crown.

As a small 30mm mens midsize, it is well-suited for anyone with smaller wrists.

But what is most impressive about this watch is its incredible condition. It is near new old stock. The case has never been polished, and the dial is gorgeous!

Our watchmaker has just given the movement its first servicing since leaving the factory. It is running strong and true. And for the final touch we have installed a new genuine crocodile strap making it ready for immediate enjoyment.

Included with the purchase is a one-year international warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

Benrus:
Benrus is an American watch icon. They were a New York based watch company who produced the vast majority of their movements in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the epicenter of Swiss watchmaker. They grew to become the third largest American watch company after Hamilton and Bulova, and the World War II years were especially good for the company as they were chosen to produce watches for the U.S. Military as well as timing devices for bombs and set up their even greater success in the years that followed the war.
